FRANCESCO MACCARRONE
Over the years, Italian pianist Francesco Maccarrone has cultivated a multifaceted approach to music,combining performance, teaching, and artistic collaboration. His playing reveals a refined sensibility forcolor and expression.
Winner of the Second Prize at the August Everding Competition in Munich and the First Prize at the EliseMeyer Competition in Hamburg, he has also distinguished himself in international competitions such asthe Szymanowski International Competition, the European Piano Competition Bremen, and the HiltonHead International Piano Competition (USA).

Chamber music has been an essential part of his artistic growth. He has collaborated with numerousartists and ensembles and is currently a member of the Tovesco Trio, prizewinner of the InternationalChamber Music Competition Pinerolo, recipient of a Berenberg Bank Foundation Scholarship, and of aprize at the Jeunesses Musicales International Chamber Music Campus. Supported by the DeutscheOrchester-Stiftung, he carries out an educational project aimed at connecting schools and classical music.
He has performed, both as soloist and chamber musician, in venues including the ElbphilharmonieHamburg, Sendesaal Bremen, Bibliothekssaal Polling, Bimhuis Amsterdam, Cultural Hall Manama(Bahrain), Florianka Hall Krakow, Teatro Vittoria, and the Auditorium Agnelli in Turin.
He recently completed his postgraduate studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with JacquesRouvier. After graduating with distinction in his Master’s degree from the Hochschule für Musik undTheater Hamburg under Aleksandar Madžar, he is now pursuing the Konzertexamen. He previouslystudied with Claudio Voghera at the Conservatorio G. Verdi in Turin, graduating with top honors.
Important artistic impulses also came from Pavel Gililov – thanks to the support of the International MusicAcademy in Liechtenstein, where he was repeatedly a scholarship holder – as well as from Roberto Plano,Benedetto Lupo, and Arie Vardi.
Teaching has become an integral part of his musical identity; for the past two years, Francesco has held aLehrauftrag in piano at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg, finding in pedagogy bothinspiration and a mirror for his own artistic development.
